1Apr2021

This isn't an April Fools joke - welcome everyone to my second blog post of 2021! As I've done in years past, I took a break from blog updates throughout the winter as that generally is my busiest time of the year for production and work on my active projects. As such, the last three to four months have been a whirlwind of creative excitement, developments, and achievements as I dove completely into the deep end on some up and coming works alongside some other general hobbies I've had on the go. Let's take a moment to catch up on everything!

So clearly most of my time this winter was spent working on the next big adventure for the Ben & Ally Series which is titled "Home Movies". Production of this new adventure first began in the fall of 2020 shortly after wrapping up work on the Ben & Ally Christmas adventure. To date, I'd wager it is one of the biggest adventures of the series to date with a huge emphasis on exploring many new locations, settings, and scenes in the Ben & Ally universe.

The new Ben & Ally adventure spans nine easy to read chapters and (I am excited to announce) work on the final two chapters is presently well underway! Now, as with any good book, there is still a lot of work to do long after typing the words "The End" but I still am aiming for a 2021 release of this new book. In the coming months, I will be sharing an update on the release date for "Ben & Ally: Home Movies" as a News/Project update, so stay tuned.

On the personal side of things, life continues on. I've spent the winter re-reading the Hobbit and I've set a goal for myself to try and tackle reading the entire Lord Of The Rings series again. I remember I read the Lord Of The Rings series cover to cover throughout Highschool and I'm thinking after all these years, I'd certainly like to go back and do it all over again.
In addition to that, I've been collecting and reading the entire 'Fables' series again by Bill Willingham. An amazing comic series that takes all the old fairy tale stories we grew up with and casts them all in a new light, asking the question of what would happen if all these characters had to live in a modern world of today. I'm definitely not doing the series justice in such a small summary, so if you have the ability to, I highly recommend this series. I'm up to Volume 13 right now and just about to start one of my favorite story lines.

As the weather finally turns towards spring I'm looking forward to returning to my weekend hikes in the woods, reading a good book under the shade tree in my backyard, and of course my favorite hobby, writing.

I've got so much planned and so much I'm working on behind the scenes I can't wait to share with you. But all of that for another day. For now, happy reading, and I'll see you next time!
